Update 5/4/2018:\nThis latest version still suffers from breakage issues. I have uploaded Version 3, which has been rigorously tested over two golfing seasons without any incidents of failure. I highly recommend installing this upgraded model, known as Brake Gear for Clicgear Golf Cart ver 3. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2892709\nUpdate 4/16/2016:\nAfter initially uploading this item last fall, it soon became apparent that the original design, modeled after the factory gear, was woefully inadequate. Upon commencing the current golfing season in the Pacific Northwest, I discovered that the Clicgear Golf Cart brake system kept breaking with alarming frequency. Specifically, I experienced a minimum of three incidents of failure.\nI have since redesigned the gear to boast thicker cogs, resulting in significantly improved durability and resistance to breakage. Notably, the brake still operates identically to its factory counterpart, albeit requiring slightly more force to trigger the pin drop into position between the cogs. Preliminary testing over four rounds of golf on a prototype yielded exceptional results, with minimal signs of wear or fatigue. As such, I have released this revised design as Version 2.0.\nTo achieve optimal performance, it is imperative that you print the brake gear in ABS at a resolution of .2mm and 100% infill. Contrary to common practice, acetone treatment has been found to offer no additional benefits.
