In Arfi'an's innovative parcel delivery system concept for GrabCAD's challenge, he addresses several key problems using a sheet metal drawer made from stainless steel 316, 2mm thick. To minimize friction and prevent drawer jamming, five small rods are used to accommodate the contact surface between drawers. An electromagnetic locking mechanism ensures the drawer opens at least 30mm, while maximizing package size insertion is achieved through the thin yet strong sheet metal material. A 60kg electromagnetic locking system with push-pull feature guarantees safety and resistance to tampering. Arfi'an emphasizes ease of production, assembly, and use of widespread materials, such as off-the-shelf parts and stainless steel. The custom slider design is stronger and less noisy than commonly available alternatives. To prevent drawer damage, non-corrosive stainless steel material is used, and the load-bearing capacity is at least 5kg. Arfi'an's solution prioritizes ease of manufacturing, assembly, and use while maintaining strength and safety.
