Cleopatra VII 8x size
thingiverse
Based on Medelis' excellent thingiverse creation (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2017207), this model stands approximately 36 inches tall. Approximately 800 meters of filament was used, equivalent to two rolls, with infill ranging from 2-10% on a DaVinci 1.0. In Simplify3D, I employed a trick for each object to have three processes by Z height (lower 3mm infill at 10%, middle 2-4%, upper 3mm at 10%). This approach provided good support for gluing the upper and lower plates, saving a significant amount of filament and time. It also reduced file size, preventing the DaVinci from crashing. However, using the default three perimeters resulted in occasional gaps on 45-degree slopes, whereas four perimeters worked much better. Most crucially, when utilizing sparse infill, it is essential to use four or more perimeters to prevent gaps in the outer skin. To assemble the model, apply Home Depot ABS glue for ABS pipes from the plumbing section.
