Cleaver Handle
thingiverse
I stumbled upon an extremely old IKEA cleaver in my mom's kitchen. It had been collecting dust for years, its once-sharp edge now dulled by time and use, and the wooden handle was badly damaged, too. So I decided to give it a complete makeover - with a brand new printed handle that would not only look sleek but also provide a comfortable grip. Here's what I did: * First, I carefully sanded down the cleaver (I had no love for the chrome finish) and unfortunately, I sanded it too aggressively... * Next, I applied some epoxy glue to the handle * Then, I attached 5mm bolts in the front and 4mm bolts in the rear * After that, I sanded the handle (to my surprise, this worked beautifully on a print) * Finally, I honed the knife's edge on waterstones
