Cleat 01 - 03
thingiverse
My dad required a small cleat to secure the roof of our DIY pool project. We're using the semi-flat version, but I've also attached different styles for your reference. If you'd like to modify the clamp, I've included the Fusion 360 and STEP files. This should make it easier for you to experiment with the design. Update: On May 23, 2019, I ran a shape optimization simulation on all variations. You can import this optimized shape as a modifier in applications like Prusa Slicer and apply different infill patterns to strengthen specific areas of the part. The technique I used is inspired by CNC Kitchen's video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0YsC53mFvY&t=201s). In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to work with the new UI.
With this file you will be able to print Cleat 01 - 03 with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Cleat 01 - 03.
