<p>I've recently put one of these excellent Xaomi Air quality monitors on my nightstand to serve as a clock. The sensor is quite small, but it still took up valuable space on my nightstand. I've designed this part to help get some of that space back. Specifically, to serve as a stand for my eReader… but just about any reasonably sized 'tablet-shaped' object could be stored this way.</p> <p>Non affiliate link to one listing you can get the device from:</p> <p><a href="https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32973826429.html">https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32973826429.html</a></p> <p>Things to note:</p> <ul> <li><p>On the back of the LCD, there's a small slot that appears to be either a cooling or an exhaust outlet for the air monitor. I suggest placing the stand a few mm back from the LCD to ensure that with the kindle in the stand there's some clearance so that the vent is not blocked</p> </li> <li><p>No supports are needed, print in any filament and layer height you desire. This part caries no (significant) load so infill can be dialed way down to speed up print time and save material. The suggested print orientation is shown in the attached pictures. I designed the part with a .1mm print tolerance in mind. I have attached the Fusion360 file included should you want to make your own modifications or 're-render' the part for a less capable printer.</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>I've designed the part to take a small 3M Command strip to better secure the part to the monitor, but, depending on how heavy of a device you'll place in the stand, that may not be necessary. I've not tried it, but I suspect that you could have a very tight friction fit if you used your slicer to scale the part down by .5 to 1%.</li> </ul> <p>It may be worth it to increase the perimeters around the portion of the part that adhere to the monitor if you're going to use a filament that is known to slowly stretch or creep over time, especially if you decide to omit the adhesive strip.</p> <p>I've cross posted this here:<br/> <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4234908">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4234908</a></p>
