Cleanspace Halo Exhalation Filter
thingiverse
CleanSpace Halo, which is a reusable battery powered reusable respirator with HEPA filter that is used in various hospitals during COVID pandemic. Similar to other respirators, exhaled air is not filtered and thus may not be suitable to be used in sterile surgical field. To over come this problem, we frequently has to wear additional surgical mask to cover the exhalation port during surgery. I have made a clip-on filter box, together with a filter cutter to cut cut out the correct filter size from a standard surgical mask. The vent can be directed downwards (by rotating the cover) to avoid blowing directly against the face shield. Please note there may be a small risk of damaging the plastic part on CleanSpace Halo respirator if the clip-on is too tight when printed with different 3D printer. 17 May 2020 - Version 2 with square filter box - I have not yet printed out but put it here just in case someone prefer to use a bigger filter material.
