Cleanspace Halo Exhalation Filter
thingiverse
CleanSpace Halo, a reusable battery-powered respirator equipped with a HEPA filter, is widely used in hospitals during the COVID pandemic. Similar to other respirators, exhaled air remains unfiltered, making it unsuitable for use in sterile surgical environments. To overcome this issue, healthcare professionals frequently wear additional surgical masks over the exhalation port during surgeries. A clip-on filter box and a filter cutter were designed to cut out the correct filter size from standard surgical masks. The vent can be directed downwards by rotating the cover, ensuring airflow does not blow directly against the face shield. Please note that there is a small risk of damaging the plastic component on CleanSpace Halo respirators if the clip-on is printed too tightly with different 3D printers. Version 2 of the design features a square filter box. Although it has not been printed yet, it is available here for those who prefer to use larger filter materials. Use this modification at your own risk.
