cleaning wands

These precision cleaning wands are engineered to reach into tight spaces. The concept revolves around drawing a cleaning solution like soapy water from a container via a hose, across the surface needing attention and out through a powerful shop vacuum cleaner. Some designs labeled as steam cleaners feature a larger inlet port, intended for use with a supply of steam for deep cleaning purposes. When using steam, it's essential to utilize high-temperature plastics such as ABS to prevent damage. For liquid and simple air vacuum wands, PLA is an adequate choice. The original driving force behind the creation of these cleaning tools was the need to thoroughly clean my trusty Burroughs Class 1 Adding & Listing machine's keyboard. This vintage calculating device, built around 1917, boasts a beautiful green felt covering on its top surface beneath the key buttons. Cleaning between the buttons and key stems necessitated the development of these specialized cleaning wands. To witness their effectiveness, check out the video showcasing my use of them to clean the adding machine's keyboard felt at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KPfhu3rgdo For a series of videos documenting my restoration work on the Burroughs Class 1 Adding machine, visit my YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtBGrxdGsbbyz9oZk8mKJbA/videos I also share projects related to calculators, phonographs, radios and 3D printing on my YouTube channel, ID'd as Ed.
