Cleaning Pad Box & Squirt Bottle Cap
prusaprinters
SummaryWith the MK3 you are supposed to clean the spring steel with alcohol after every print. For me the most economical way was to bulk purchase 90% alcohol which I put in a squirt bottle (even designed/printed the cap in matching Prusa orange), but then I had the challenge of what to use to apply it. I decided on bulk cotton makeup removal pads available on the cheap at Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0773FVMRJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1.These measure approximately 5mm x 5.5mm. Now I just needed a way to store them on my printer desk that was more attractive than just sitting them out or leaving them in a giant box.As a result, I designed two box variations:1) Horizontal | Made to store in a horizontal position where you pull from the top of the box2) Vertical | Made to store the pads in an upright position where you pull from the front or back of the boxI started with the vertical, but after using it for several days I didn't like how the pads pulled out. In the end, it caused me to design the horizontal version, and I decided on going with it for my own personal use.Print SettingsPrinter brand:PrusaPrinter:i3 MK3Rafts:NoSupports:NoResolution:.2mmInfill:20%Filament brand:PrusaFilament color:OrangeFilament material:PET
