Clean Room Inlet Fan/Filter
thingiverse
This is Thing-a-Week #5, featuring a positive pressure glove box clean room prototype. Check out previous creations at http://www.iheartrobotics.com/search/label/thing-a-week. Due to the holiday weekend and ongoing printing process, testing is still pending. The goal is to create a Class 10,000 clean environment suitable for disassembling electronic devices in a small space. A shopvac air filter part #VF3500 or preferably #VF6000 is utilized, while the Cooling Fan part #273-0241 from RadioShack is expected to deliver satisfactory performance when paired with the air filter. Cut 6061-T6 Round Aluminum tubing rods into custom lengths, tapping them M4, and connect them with an open endcap fastened using M3 countersunk screws and nuts. The design may require caulk or gaskets for optimal functionality. Follow the exploded view diagram for assembly instructions, found at http://www.iheartrobotics.com/2010/02/this-new-lab-diy-cleanroom.html.
