I loaded crazycraig's remix of nihil's articulated shark into Fusion360, where I thoroughly cleaned up the top face by removing the grooves from the first and second segments. However, it appears that Ppardee had already taken similar steps to clean up the grooves on Nihil's original design using Simplify3D. He successfully removed the unwanted features in his slices, beating me to the punch. My version adds one key improvement over his - I thickened the sides of the last segment before the tail for enhanced strength. Four hours later, I noticed that one segment wasn't entirely flat on the bottom, so I made the necessary adjustments. While I was at it, I also increased the thickness of the sides on the segment connecting to the tail, making them less susceptible to breakage. On March 6th, I began printing these models at 120% scale and was pleased with the results - the green model in the photos above serves as a perfect example.
