CLC BIO Team Oxygen Sensor Vertical probe fitting

CLC BIO Team Oxygen Sensor Vertical probe fitting

thingiverse

This is a fitting to use the Vernier GoDirect O2 Gas Sensor in the Glovebox for a Challenger Learning Center Expedition Mars mission. We experienced issues with the original oxygen sensor box that came with the mission, so I was able to take this probe (acquired through our Mars Engagement Day supplies!) and make a fitting that allows us to use it instead! You can see in the photos our setup: we have a tablet with the Vernier Graphical Analysis software on a tablet that sits on top of the Glovebox. The probe, connected via bluetooth, sits inside in the vertical fitting. We use tiny cosmetic jars (~37mm/1.5 inches in diameter), ordered from Amazon, to hold a small amount of soil. The vertical fitting has a base opening of 50mm/~2 inches, so it fits right over the top of the jar and gives us vibrant soil readings! If you're at a Challenger Center and you'd like to see the Lab Sheets that accompany this lab setup, hit me up!
