Claystruder 1.5

The Claystruder 1.2 is an enhanced version of the previous model, featuring a more simplified and modular design. At present, it lacks a mount for a solenoid valve, which may be added in future iterations. The main improvement over its predecessor involves decoupling the nozzle (a polyprop tapered tip) from the syringe, solving issues with syringe swapping during lengthy prints. This design choice prevents the need to reattach the nozzle each time a syringe is changed, reducing the likelihood of misalignment and print errors. To achieve this, a small luer-lock male-female extension bit (available at http://www.dosieren.de/en/shop/products/cat/luer-lock-adapters/pr/luer-lock-special-model.html) is glued in the printhead and serves as a mount for the nozzle. The syringe screws into the other end. Additionally, the design includes windows in the barrel holder to better monitor syringe levels. For enhanced pressure capabilities, a syringe adapter head can be printed using files found on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:21074).
