Clay Texas Star Rotating Axis Joint
myminifactory
I designed a rotating axis joint specifically for a Texas star clay target that accommodates five clays. It leverages two 22mm skateboard bearings to achieve smooth rotation. You can source the wood sticks from Home Depot or any hardware store, where they are readily available in dimensions of approximately 14mm X 17.5mm. The clay holders can be found at this link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2369862. I printed this design on a Maker Select v2 using a temperature of 215°c and wall thicknesses of 1.2mm for both the top and bottom layers. To enhance functionality, I added end caps and incorporated a skeet holder with a loop in the back for securing it with a zip tie. I'm currently working on an alternative design that eliminates the need for a zip tie. Additionally, you can use these end caps on a stick and place them vertically into the ground to create standing skeet targets. For optimal results, I recommend scaling up by 1%. Happy shooting!
