Claw lids spool holder
thingiverse
This spool holder requires just one extra piece: an 8mm rod part. It moves smoothly and precisely, even without a ball bearing. I've added various claw cap designs to this model. You can swap them out according to the size of your spools. They click into place easily, requiring no glue to stay put. After you finish printing a spool, you can remove the claw caps and install them on a new one. One claw cap is designed to rotate in one direction; the other rotates the opposite way. Be sure to pay attention to the rotation directions and mount them as shown in the picture. For more details, check out the video. Once you've printed and installed this spool holder, don't forget to share your photos! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyxolriGxsk Recommended settings: - 3 top layers - 3 bottom layers - 3 shells - 0.3mm layer height - 15% infill - PLA (ABS will crack, so use it at your own risk)
