Clavicle
thingiverse
This is a highly detailed scapula model, scaled exactly to its real-life size. Key features of the model include: * Sternal end: clearly defined * Acromial end: easily recognizable * Groove for subclavius muscle: precisely replicated * Conoid tubercle: accurately rendered * Trapezoid line: distinct and well-defined * Impression for costoclavicular ligament: realistically portrayed The model was created using 3D anatomical structure data from the Body Parts 3D Database, a comprehensive NIH-funded database of detailed 3D models. The white paper published on NCBI describes how the models were constructed from high-resolution MRI images taken at 2 mm intervals from a male volunteer. To improve printability and quality, I used Meshmixer to repair non-printable surfaces and oriented the model for optimal balance between detail and strength. Although large features are easily identifiable, some smaller details may be harder to see. This scapula model can be printed on standard 8" x 8" x 8" or larger 3D printers.
