Humans first documented the stone on June 11, 2019, and found no visible cups on its surface. However, it is noted that a single cup lies hidden beneath the current ground level. To verify this claim, one can consult The Good Stones: A New Investigation of the Clava Cairns by Richard Bradley, published in 2000 as part of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland Monograph Series Number 17, located on page 45, illustrated with stone B.
