Classy Trash Can Liner

Classy Trash Can Liner

thingiverse

This is a high-end trash can liner featuring an elegant lip on top, perfect for securing with a rubber band to keep the bag in place. By printing it myself, I was able to maintain my stone trash can's clean and sophisticated appearance. This design also functions as a standalone trash can. The print settings included a 1mm nozzle using PETG filament and a 0.5mm layer height, along with two perimeter walls that provided a robust wall thickness of 2.4mm. I added five bottom layers for an additional thickness of 2.5mm and used zero percent infill on the top layers to ensure it printed open and hollow. The liner measures 230mm in height, with an interior diameter of 166mm. It can be easily scaled up or down using a slicer to meet your specific needs. When printed with clear filament, the result is a frosted or translucent white appearance that would also make for a stylish lampshade. The light should diffuse nicely while still passing through. I've experimented with this design multiple times and noticed that slower print speeds produce more translucent results, whereas faster speeds yield a more opaque finish. To verify this, I used an E3D Volcano hotend with a 40-watt cartridge heater and ensured the temperature remained constant at 245C throughout the print process. This eliminated temperature variance as a factor in the opaqueness of the filament. The two print speeds I employed were 40mm/sec and 80mm/sec.
