The Corinthian order, distinguished by its intricate design, was the last developed among the three primary classical Greek and Roman architectural styles, which also include the Doric and Ionic orders. During the Renaissance, two additional orders were added to this canon: the Tuscan and Composite. The Corinthian's elaborate decorative features, such as fluted columns and acanthus leaf-adorned capitals, make it the most ornate of all the orders, with various adaptations existing.
