A miniature replica of the iconic sixties Tardis scaled for 5.5" action figures, designed to be printed on a 200x200mm bed using a play set model. This massive model is inspired by its appearance in 'An Unearthly Child.' At an estimated 240 hours of printing time and 1.5kg of filament, it's a substantial project. White filament was used throughout, but a lighter gray or silver would have been a better choice for the Scanner Monitor assembly. February 25, (A) Optional hexagonal floor panels can be printed to create a more authentic play set experience. These panels feature gullies underneath for wiring and were printed upside down. If your bed uses tape, you might want to print them right-side up with supports. You can print as many or few panels as needed. February 25, (B) Additional corner brackets have been added to the model. These clip over the tops of the walls, giving it more rigidity. February 20, (A) Optional: Two new roundel files are available for printing. Printing each twice will produce two extension walls that extend the interior door wall and the opposite roundel wall. This gives the play set a closer resemblance to the BBC stage. It replaces the previous 2-roundel column wall. February 20, (B) Optional: A full-hole roundel wall pack has been uploaded. These can be glued over existing walls for more depth or used with translucent backing and deep corner brackets for back lighting. The double-width main door uses a unique hinge technique that requires unprinted filament pins, which must be carefully removed from the single wall hinges.
