Classic Rocket LED Base
thingiverse
After printing Botmaster's great Classic Rocket (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:580192), I created an LED stand for mine and decided to share it with the community. To assemble the stand, I installed a 5-volt LED, added a resistor, and connected them to a 3mm braided USB lead that I had on hand. You can omit the LED if you only want a simple stand. The Botmaster Classic Rocket was printed at 100% infill density. If you choose to scale up the design, be aware that the LED hole and cable entry will also increase in size. This is the base model of the stand; click on the link above to access the complete Classic Rocket design. Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao D5s Mini Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.15 mm Infill: 7% Notes: This print turned out easily and required minimal cleanup. I used Simplify3D to slice the model, and printed it in PLA. Design Process: I created this design using SolidWorks, then exported it as an STL file for 3D printing.
