Classic Quake Logo

I'm redesigning the classic quake logo with an uneven outline, crisp top and bottom edges. The original design had some flaws - the middle logo's rough edging had gaps that printed poorly. Instead of fixing those issues, I decided to start from scratch. I found a nice outline image online, cleaned it up, converted it into a vector object, and then used Blender to extrude it into a 3D model. Now, my next challenge is figuring out how to add a rugged texture to the object's surface.
