NEEDS TWEAKING! I need a button that's a bit smaller or sanded down, still having trouble with printing other parts Please review the model before printing, I'm completely clueless. 12/27/2015 I included pictures of my test build - Parts are held together with hot glue for now. - I updated the inside top piece and added a new part to the front where the button clicks in. -Tolerances for the button have been figured out. Still struggling with solving the latch problem, the part is too thick after printing, but too thin of a print won't give me the spring back effect I want. If anyone has any ideas about this, I'd really appreciate some help. The InsideFront piece needs sanding when printed in its orientation, there's a little excess plastic so it doesn't fit inside the recess of the receiving side. I would also suggest putting supports under the hinged recess on the backside of the ball - I experienced some warping and wasn't sure if that was the cause but the next piece didn't warp. Print Settings Printer: Dream Maker Overlord Pro Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 Infill: 20 Post-Printing My take on a classic - an old Pokeball. Disclaimer - I haven't built this yet, just printing it out. If you print this and find any problems or have some suggestions please let me know. I wanted to build a Pokeball, but the ones online didn't print well on my printer and had tons of problems trying to print. So I loaded up 123d design and made my own model from scratch - took way too long. Pokeballs are super tricky because its all open for interpretation - How do you make a hinge and latch system when the drawings don't even show one? It's like, magic physics, artistry gone crazy. Anyway, I looked up tons of pictures and I think I've got a pretty good idea for the ball. Please let me know what you think - I included the original file with exploded and display views so feel free to tinker and optimize. I just wanted to mention that the stand is from another Pokeball, threw an extra ring on it, no clue why Why not though, who's judging? Can't wait to see if anyone else prints one.
