Students at this top-ranked college will be constructing and customizing a premium quality mountain bike, bringing their knowledge of bicycle mechanics into play. The bikes being worked on are a culmination of various theories related to mountain bike construction as covered in lectures during the course of studies at the institution. This undertaking provides the students with invaluable hands-on experience in selecting individual parts and putting it all together with great precision. Throughout this hands-on experience, our instructor guides the group and monitors each bike for quality before handing them over to local bicycle repair shops that help turn theory into tangible applications and further refine student work in progress as needed to better fit the students' intended goals, allowing them students to test, fine-tune, ride, and get real-world experience from every phase. Students take their skills far beyond textbook concepts, working hands-on with various brands and components while keeping practical issues relevant, putting it into action through projects of all shapes and sizes for local businesses on bikes constructed. The final mountain bikes developed and manufactured under the course of studies showcase high levels of proficiency at an entry level.
