Classic key
thingiverse
I printed a few simple designs of classic keys to fit into a cabinet with missing original keys, and they work just fine - although applying too much force can break them if the lock is rusty or turning unevenly. Note: this is my first stab at 3D design and I'm not skilled at it yet, so there's probably room for improvement in this model. Instructions: It's harder to print than expected. I had trouble printing in the original position, but with some effort, I got it done eventually. Try using a raft or brim for better adherence and stability when printing the handle. Alternatively, print it upside down with support required. For extra strength, use 100% infill and ensure that your slicer properly fills in the gap surrounding the hole at the bottom by adjusting the extrusion width if needed. To prevent overheating, print multiple keys at once so each layer cools down properly.
