Classic Kendama

Classic Kendama

When I was growing up, yo-yos were a massive phenomenon (especially the ones that could sleep). People would perform an array of mind-blowing tricks. I vividly recall seeing this Japanese toy for the first time and thinking, that's really cool but I'd rather play with my Gameboy. Nowadays, kendamas are all the rage with people of all ages showcasing their exceptional cup-catching skills. I wanted to create this model as a tribute to the beautiful simplicity of the toy. This kendama is comprised of three distinct components. The cup portion slides onto the stick until it's securely in place. The cup attaches to the ball via a sturdy string. Although the stick is designed for accuracy, make sure to use a higher fill-rate on the stick section to ensure that the stick remains firmly attached. The entire kendama (when assembled) without the ball measures approximately 6.25 inches x 2.75 inches x 1.75 inches. The ball has a diameter of around 2.375 inches. I'm really excited for you to start playing with this! I can't wait to see all the incredible tricks you come up with.
