Classic Crosley Record Player - Ghostly Plate
thingiverse
Another Maker Challenge Entry. I've always had a soft spot for nostalgic items and the challenge of transforming them into functional pieces for today's world. My friend recently took one of these old Crosley record players and turned it into a computer case - not exactly flashy, but still an intriguing addition to any collection. I might go back later and create a faceplate that more accurately reflects the original Crosley design. Edit: I've corrected the orientation of the files; you'll still need to scale them, but they should import properly now. In addition to the main case model, I've also created a version with drawers, making it not only a decorative item but also a useful storage box. Instructions This model is scaled up to almost full size - you may need to reduce it in size to accommodate most printers' build volume limitations. Unfortunately, my software doesn't seem to allow me to set the origin point when creating parts. If printing the version without drawers, you will need: (1) Record Player Arm (1) Record Player Body (1) Record Player Lid (1) Record Player Face Plate (2) Record Player Face Plate Pegs (2) Record Player Hinge Pins (1) Records If printing the version with drawers, you'll need to source the following parts: (1) Record Player Arm (1) Record Player Drawer Bottom Body (1) Record Player Drawer Top Body (1) Record Player Lid (1) Record Player Face Plate (2) Record Player Face Plate Pegs (2) Record Player Hinge Pins (2) Drawers
