Classic Chess Set

I designed this traditional chess set for my buddy's birthday, and it turned out fantastic. Over the years, I've seen plenty of unusual and impressive chess sets, but during gameplay, it's tough to distinguish one piece from another. That's why I believe a classic design is the way to go. To balance the pieces, I left an empty space in the bottom, which allows for added weight. I used steel discs obtained from a metal fabrication workshop - they were produced on their turret press. After gluing them in place, I cut out felt circles using provided templates and a sharp blade. Printing this design required no support material. The Knight piece has a built-in rod to stabilize the overhang; once printed, it can be easily removed.
