Class AB Subminiature Amp

Introducing another mini tube amp, featuring four tubes in its design. The first twin triode (6112) handles initial gain stages, followed by the first half of a 6021 as a final gain stage and the other half serving as a cathodyne phase splitter. Output tubes are 5902 pentodes in push-pull configuration, delivering approximately 3W into an 8ohm speaker for ample volume. This little powerhouse offers clean tones at lower gain settings, quickly providing Orange-style crunchiness when the knob is turned up. Toroidal transformers play a major role in this amp's construction, stepping up the 12VAC input to around 120VAC. A rectifier circuit then converts this to DC voltage, which is smoothed through multiple stages utilizing large electrolytic capacitors. The second toroidal transformer functions as an output transformer, providing efficient impedance matching for the 5902 tubes. Rock on \m/
