Class 104 Cabs and Underframes
thingiverse
Here are files to allow conversion of the Hornby Class 110 DMU into a Class 104 unit. They are drawn full size so please resize by 1.31% to bring to 1/76 scale. I have drawn them full size as others may wish to use parts in other scales too. I have drawn these at the request of Tim Shackleton who was looking for a cost effective way of producing a 104 using the Hornby 110 as a basis. The parts involved are all the various cab front versions, underframes and buffers. The underframes are produced both on a plate and without a plate. You may find one or other suits your method of conversion and both types have been used by different modellers to complete a conversion. The buffers are drawn in long and short versions. The shortened versions seem to suit the model better and allow them to negotiate tighter curves. Anyway the choice is there. The photos are of Tim's model in progress and I'm grateful for his permission to use the images. Enjoy Jonny
