Hello, thank you for your interest! Firstly, I'd like to say that I'm not an artist, so it's far from perfect. The model was made based on the picture in game. I decided to create this for my girlfriend as a present, but first I searched to see if anyone had already done it, and couldn't find anything similar. After that, I saw a few people also asking for something like this, so I've uploaded it for them too. There's also an idea floating around in my mind of uploading a revision with a hinge system that will allow the lid to move smoothly. I printed this model on a Printrbot Simple Metal using PLA, and here are some details about the settings: 0.1mm resolution, and pretty solid to ensure strength. The total print time was roughly 18 hours, including about 40 gems that add a bit of flair! I hope you enjoy it and thank you for taking the time to read this. Here's how I set things up: I used the recommended standard settings listed on Printrbot Simple Metal's website. The only adjustment I made was to slow down the entire print process by using an 80% factor in Repetier. Warning: To accurately reflect their real-life size, the gems were scaled down to about half their actual dimensions along each axis. You can certainly experiment with different sizes, as there are a lot of pictures showing that this reflects their random and unique natural appearance. When printed, you can either glue the lid in place like I did or come up with your own hinge type system for a functional chest - which was actually what I opted for. For printing tips that worked well: To minimize support material requirements while printing the box, it makes sense to print 'top' side down, which puts its largest cross-sectional area on top. Ultimately, this is up to personal preference though. As for the lid, printing it upside-down might make it easier to tear off any excess support material from outside rather than inside.
