Clarus the DogCow
thingiverse
Clarus the DogCow is a mascot linked to early Macintosh developers between 1984 and 2000. To gain further knowledge, visit http://clarus.chez-alice.fr. The OpenScad source file offers six distinct models (consult the source file for details). These are STL files, ready for printing. Originally, a small hole was designed at the figure's back to attach a support, although it isn't modeled. Model #0 is based on the Cairo Font from 1983 by Susan Kare. Model #1 is the most famous design, used in "Page Set Up" dialog for Apple Printers from 1987 to 2000. It has smaller variations as well, such as Model #2 and Model #3, designed to fit 32x32 pixel icons. The smallest variation is Model #4, known as DogCattle. In 1999, Susan Kare redesigned the model with a more bovine head, which became Model #5. Moof! Additionally, the OpenScad source allows for adjusting bitmaps to create 3D models by defining different figurines as bitmap tabs (0: nothing, 1: level 1, and so on).
