Clarkins Department Store

Clarkins Department Store

Clarkins was a chain of discount department stores that was headquartered in Akron, Ohio. Co-founded by brothers-in-law William Clark and Elza Hopkins. in the 70's and 80's they'd be found all around Northeast Ohio, with that distinctive sign. This one is based on the one near my home town. If you need a department store for your model train set or wargaming city, here you go! No supports on the building. I used a raft to help support it and act as a sidewalk when everything was done. The roof is tricky though. I flipped it 90 degrees (front of the store down), and printed it with basic supports to manage the big canopy shape. I had to sand it down a bit, but otherwise it printed out just the way I wanted.
