Refillable water filter for a Sage coffee machine, printed with PLA and thoroughly tested, works perfectly. Also compatible with Breville and Gastroback machines (identically constructed). The filter consists of two parts: one is the filtering unit where the filter granules are filled and sealed with a standard drink bottle cap; the other is the pressure cap that holds the filter in place. The pressure cap serves as a display for the interval change indicator on the original filter. To replace the original filter, you only need to remove the sinter filter, which sits inside the stem, preventing the filter material from escaping. You can wash and reuse the sinter filter when changing the filter granules. A better or exchangeable solution would be welcome. You can find refill filter granules online by searching for "Coffee Machine Filter Granules". It comes in various containers and looks identical to the original filters. To disassemble the original filter, you need to pry it open at the bottom using a small screwdriver. If done carefully, it won't damage the filter. At the bottom of the filter, water is drawn in due to the small holes being difficult to print well. I didn't include them during construction but instead used a 1mm drill bit to make a few holes. The machine sucks up the water perfectly without any strange noises, and the filter seals tightly at the bottom. With this solution, you can get two euros per filter replacement if you don't count the time spent designing the filter.
