Clarinet Thumbrest
thingiverse
In the past, my clarinet's thumbrest detached from the lower joint; to fix this temporarily, I glued it back in place. This solution lasted for a year, over six years consecutively. Now, with my brother using the clarinet and me having access to a 3D printer, I sought a more permanent solution. The 3D-printed model featured an attachment ring for the lower joint, but it broke during post-processing. To correct this, I drilled a hole near the inner radius and trimmed the ring so only two leads remained. For alignment, I threaded zip-ties through the hole and tightened the thumbrest onto the joint.
