A versatile blade fashioned in leaf-like form, employed by Annabeth Chase from the popular Percy Jackson series according to my daughter, who has taken on the role of Annabeth for Halloween. Designed with a striking PLA "gold" hue that seems more akin to bronze in appearance. Updated December 21, 2014: Added version two featuring an even smoother transition between handle and blade after the first print snapped due to weak joints. Hopefully this revised model is sturdier. To further enhance durability I reprinted it with BronzeFill, which presents a near-perfect match. Instructions: Modifying cross-sections or profiles is relatively simple since Blender source files are provided. They can be found within the "Brochure" scene, not the default export one. Please note if you make any changes to these elements you'll have to change curve objects into meshes and join them first then use Loft tool for smoothing – standard extensions feature this option. As printed my results show no support required with a perfectly centered point; I obtained ideal printing quality with no base layer when positioned with the point facing upwards. Total length as per designed specs stands at 22 centimeters or 8.7 inches and considering prop requirements suitable size seems about this limit, definitely smaller than a complete set.
