Claptrap rough scan
thingiverse
This is my first upload to Thingiverse. I grabbed this scan from a display at Pax West, where time was of the essence - just two minutes to capture it all with video. Using 4K footage, I fed it into a Python script that sliced the video into individual images for processing in Meshroom. Next up, I removed the background, patched most holes and hollowed out the center using Meshmixer. As a result of the rushed time frame, many images are plagued by motion blur, while some areas are woefully under-represented. The bumpy appearance is likely due to this very issue. In its current state, this object needs significant touch-up work - someone skilled with the tools could do wonders or share their expertise with me. To help with further processing, I've included a binary STL file, along with an OBJ and Meshmixer's .mix file for your convenience. This model may be unprintable as it stands. I haven't attempted to print it myself, and suspect that the arms might be too fragile in their current form.
