Preparing for a family trip the day after one of the clamping knobs for the car's rooftop bike rack cracked. Instead of using a wrench to tighten it, I decided to create a new one. After all, the knob holds a standard M8 nut. This clamping knob is designed specifically to hold an M8 nut and can be installed on an M8 threaded rod with ease. One of the best things about 3D printing is that you can make your own spare parts exactly when you need them.
