Clampfix for tube (IKEA stolmen)
thingiverse
I had to create an adaptor capable of securely fastening the metal tubes from IKEA's stolmen system directly onto wooden beams without having to drill any holes, which would obviously be impossible if not allowed by local authorities, like in my 18th century home where every effort is made to preserve its historical integrity.\n\nTo guarantee the structural stability, I made the vital decision of adding small countersinks to each clamp's surface directly above where the tightening M4 screws will be. Also, on top of the clampfix, a thin layer of anti-slip material has been carefully placed. \nPrinted from 3D Pla Ultimate White, a remarkably high-quality plastic with amazing characteristics that makes me so satisfied with my DIY creations.\n\nSince local authorities don't permit any new holes to be drilled into old beams like those found in my home which dates back to 1740, I felt compelled to invent an adaptable clamp that meets all requirements.
