Clamp Set for T-Slot Worktables (M5)

This set is based on Reversible Hold-Down for T-Slot Tables by WorksBySolo. I added curved faces to the underside of the holddown clamp to better distribute clamping force. I also added a low-profile brace and an insert piece that rides in the slot, along with a knob to hold it all together. The Knob and Slot Insert both have M5 nut traps that print upside down. In those cases, I add a thin layer over the screw hole which must be removed with a drill or other sharp tool. This causes the top of the nut trap to print as a bridge rather than an overhang, resulting in a cleaner print. You will need a M5 x 70mm hex head screw for each Clamp and an M5 x 25mm hex head screw for each Brace. The screws press into a Slot Insert piece and then point upward when in use. On the top of the Knob, you should press a nut into the recessed nut trap after drilling out the extra plastic thin layer. It helps to have the nut threaded onto a long screw while doing that to ensure it is straight. The nut traps are intentionally snug. I heated the nut and/or bolt for about 15 seconds with a butane lighter, and they slide into place easily. As an optional bonus, I used heat and pressure to press a washer into the bottom of the Knob. After doing that, I had to drill out the hole in the knob using a 5mm drill, running the motor in reverse to avoid damaging the nut already in place. It also helps to use a tap on the trapped nut to clean the threads of any excess plastic.
