CLAMP'O'MATIC : Parametric cable clamp
thingiverse
Created a cable clamp for my project due to unavailability of suitable store-bought options. This design allows attachment of a cable to a frame using two screws, while being fully parametric for customizable size adjustments. Two clamp types are available: half-clamps, which can be combined in pairs, and full-clamps, secured to flat surfaces. OpenSCAD file enables generation of both types from the same file; this is my first published design, feedback welcome! Initial release occurred on 21/12/2012 with only half-clamp option (v1.0), followed by updates for full-clamp generation (v1.1) and rounded corners (v1.2). OpenSCAD software is used to edit cable_clamp.scad file, where users can modify settings like cable_diam and screw_diam. Additional parameters control clamp type and cable pressure. STL files created upon design compilation, though default parameters should suffice for most uses.
