Clamp (NailClamp)
prusaprinters

Simple clamp that fits a pretty standard 2" nail.

I filed the nails roughly with a diamond file to increase their grip but that shouldn't be necessary. The nail diameter must be 2.6 - 2.65mm.

Just force the nail through one clamp piece and push on the second clamp piece. The ‘tail’ of the clamp is there to make it easy to remove the clamp but it can also be used inverted for separation of workpieces.

I designed this to save the expense of specific spring-loaded clamps for model ship building (planking) but they come in handy for lots of different small scale modelling jobs.

I used 100% infill for strength and solidity on my Prusa Mk3S, 0.3mm layers. Prusa recycled filament - great stuff. No supports or skirt, etc.

Regards, Paul
