Clamp for workbench

I'm creating a basic workbench clamp. Since I needed some metal clamps, which would require welding, I decided to design one on my own instead of waiting for them to arrive. The main requirement was to have a clamp that stays on my mini workbench at all times, easily holding down wood and other objects, with the ability to quickly release it without completely removing it from the workbench.
