Desk Lamp/Magnifier Clamp Design for 3D Printing By Adding a Secure Grip to Your Existing Lamp, You'll Enhance Productivity and Reduce Strain on Your Eyes. Design Background Recently, I acquired an old desk lamp equipped with a built-in magnifying glass. However, it lacked a clamp for the base, making it challenging to keep in place. To resolve this issue, I created and printed a custom-designed clamp, which is now available for public use. Printable Design Files The design files, including the SCAD file and STL file, can be downloaded for your convenience. These files contain all the necessary details for printing the clamp. Printing Recommendations To achieve optimal results, follow these printing guidelines: Print with Slic3r software. Set the infill to honeycomb pattern at 60% density. Add eight solid layers. Use a layer height of .25mm. Ensure that the print head is moving steadily without jerky movements. Important Tip When preparing for print, it's essential to have the clamp positioned upright on its support structure. This setup will not only increase the structural integrity of the clamp but also guarantee a robust connection to the desk lamp base. Materials Required M8 Nut and Bolt Assembly Note: To customize this design for your specific printer, carefully adjust all sizes according to your requirements.
