Clamp for 8mm Rods
thingiverse
I crafted those clamps specifically for mounting a newspaper basket ("Blomus 68477 Wires Newspaper Collector") made of sturdy 8mm chrome-plated rods onto an old chopping board with wheels. I had stopped reading newspapers on paper and the chopping board was destined for the trash anyway, so it seemed like the perfect up-cycling project to create a high-performance basket with wheels that could be used in both my apartment and workshop. To assemble the clamps safely, print them lying on their sides as shown in one of the pictures, or you risk breaking the clamp horizontally when attaching the rod (as demonstrated in the other pictures). Be careful not to apply too much torque to the countersunk screws, or the clamp may break there.
