A Custom Clamp Design for 12mm Linear Rods with Opto Endstop Mounts I created a modified clamp design specifically tailored to accommodate an opto endstop board widely available on aliexpress.com. Two STL files are included, one featuring round mounting holes and the other with slotted holes that enable adjustable positioning. To assemble this clamp design, you will need: - 1 M4 grub screw to secure the rod A grub screw is highly recommended to provide clearance for the opto wires - 1 M4 injection nut for the clamp part These nuts require pressing into place using a hot soldering iron or similar tool - 2 M3 injection nuts for mounting the opto board Note that these injection nuts can also be sourced from aliexpress. Printing Requirements To print this design effectively, follow these guidelines: - Printer Brand: RepRap - Printer Model: Prusa i3 - Raft: Unnecessary - Supports: No supports required - Resolution: Set to 0.2mm - Infill: Print with 20% infill - Notes: For added strength, I recommend using a 2mm shell and printing with ABS plastic.
