Connect two quick clamps (e.g., Silverline) by extending them for working on larger objects. Secure a nut onto the bar, tightening it directly to keep it taut. Ensure proper bar size compatibility; connector may be slightly loose but still functional. Remove nipples from bars if necessary for insertion into connectors, though absence doesn't affect original jaws' function.
