Clamp Connector

Clamp Connector

Whoever is a DIY fan will sooner or later come to a point where his one-hand-clamps are too small for a project, as the ones I know of have a span of app. 30 cm. Going to the hardware store will only show the unholy prices of longer clamps, if available. Look no further, here is the clamp connector. One-hand-clamps have a screw at one end to flip over the end so the clamp presses outwards. But this screw can also be used with this connector to connect another clamp. This way the range of the clamp is almost doubled. Sure, it is not as stable as one large clamp, but we're talking about DIY here ;-) Edit 09.09.2022: After some excessive usage my connector got a small crack by layer separation. Therefore I provided a thicker, sturdier version. It has some cutouts on the sides so the screws can still reach the bolts. Here are some videos from CncKitchen about how to enhance sturdiness through heat: Baking prints: https://youtu.be/dOzVuoBP9gY Remelting in sand: https://youtu.be/DyAKtS1b3SQ Different print temps: https://youtu.be/M3bwJx8ZkMA Less cooling: https://youtu.be/Bl2ESvtBiLo Layer hight: https://youtu.be/fbSQvJJjw2Q
