Clam Shell Containers
thingiverse
Small clamshell containers, big enough to hold a standard secure digital card, come in two different types. The top and bottom parts of each container are represented by the files piece_0_1.stl and piece_1_0.stl. These pieces fit together at one edge with a hinge and at the opposite side with a clasp. Two other containers, designed to join together with two identical clasps, can be found in the files piece_4_2.stl and piece_4_3.stl. Although they look similar, they have some decorative differences. The openSCAD code used to create these containers is partially parametric, which means it can be easily modified to make many other types of containers. Some small spherical examples are included for demonstration purposes. For instance, two copies of the file "half_sphere.stl" can be joined together with a clasp to form a spherical container that's just large enough to hold a quarter. A small hinged spherical container is also available for those who want it.
