A compact and lightweight print head designed for 11mm, 12mm, and 15mm slide bearings, featuring a single filament cooler. This results in a very light and compact design with solid mounting options using 3M screws and nuts, as well as additional mounting possibilities above, such as LED lighting or other filament feeding systems. The filament cooler comes equipped with a fan that minimizes the mass to be moved and enables faster printing speeds: The belt tensioner for 11mm bearings includes a "halring" that allows easy removal of the print head along with its two shafts. Additionally, small cable ties secure everything in place, eliminating any wobbling. The curved belt guide in the adjustable section maintains small dimensions and prevents space loss. To construct this upgrade, you will need various 3M screws and nuts of different lengths. Druckerhaube: Measure the dimensions for the 2mm acrylic glass plates from the drawing. For size changes, scale only the length of the strips "170131_Haube02-P1-a to -g". I use a wallpaper knife to deeply carve both sides of the 2mm acrylic glass, making it easy to break cleanly. This material also serves as removable side walls, secured with hammer screws (refer to above). There are plates available in various sizes, such as 100 x 50 cm, requiring only the width to be cut off. This setup is well-suited for ABS printing due to the ambient temperature of approximately 55°C provided by the "housing", which prevents warping.
